The Challenge
A global technology leader faced the challenge of relocating to a newly completed corporate headquarters. With the headquarters move, the company would also deploy a suite of new hardware with complex configuration specifications. In addition to deploying new hardware in the new corporate headquarters, the company would need to relocate its existing data centers, completing five separate equipment moves from existing sites to the new headquarters location.
In order to navigate the relocation and new technology deployments while protecting equipment and mitigating costly downtime, the company would need a partner skilled in the unique logistics challenges of the high-tech sector.
The Solution

CloudLine began by learning more about the company’s specific configuration requirements. We then set up a staging area in our state-of-the-art warehouse to preconfigure more than 100 racks of hardware to the company’s specifications. CloudLine’s expert pre-configuration services would ensure that all hardware was ready to run upon arriving to the new headquarters location.
In addition to the pre-configuration of new hardware, the company also leveraged CloudLine’s disposal and recycling services to ensure that all end of life hardware would be properly dismantled, removed, recycled and documented. Working with a licensed recycler, CloudLine completed the end of life process, including the destruction of sensitive data.
To relocate the company’s business-critical data centers, CloudLine delivered turnkey relocation services. CloudLine’s tenured team of system relocation professionals ensured the proper breakdown, tagging, tracking, packing, transport and redeployment of five separate data centers in the new headquarters location.
